YUBA CITY, CA (YSBC) – Christopher Pedigo of Yuba City, is usually behind the camera capturing the special moments at community and sporting events, but on Tuesday, January 28 at the Sutter County Board of Supervisors Meeting, it was his turn to smile in front of the camera.
For the past 11 years, Pedigo has been a staple across the Yuba-Sutter area as he has captured special moments at parades, festivals, and recitals where his photography has been in multiple print publications and spread across social media.
Pedigo was given a letter of appreciation recognition by the Sutter County Board of Supervisors Tuesday afternoon for his photographic contributions across the Yuba-Sutter communities. Pedigo was given a huge ovation as he was called front and center to the floor in the Yuba City Hall chamber.

In 2020, Pedigo took his photography skills to athletic surfaces as he attempted to capture special moments athletes could remember for a lifetime. Pedigo addressed the chamber on Tuesday and spoke about a particular interaction where a man who recently graduated from a local high school pulled out his yearbook and said, “You took this photo of me, thank you.”
Pedigo added that he enjoys capturing special moments around the community he calls home and it is his way to give back.
Pedigo has told Yuba Sutte Butte Colusa Sports that one of his favorite sports events that he has captured was the 2021 Northern Section Division III final between Sutter and Paradise where the Huskies won the game in overtime.
Pedigo’s sports photos can be found on Facebook via Yuba Sutter High School Sports Photos. His sports photos can also be seen here on ysbcsports.com throughout various articles and he uploads all of his photos at christopherpedigo.smugmug.com
